Built to Serve: The Quiet Power Behind My Calling
Some people choose service. Others are born into it.
For me, it’s never been a question—showing up for others is built into my wiring.
Whether I was waiting tables with grace under pressure, managing a team through long shifts, guiding breathwork in a room full of anxious souls, or holding space for someone grieving in therapy—I show up the same way: grounded, present, and ready to help others feel better in their bodies, minds, and hearts.
This isn’t performance. It’s not something I wear like a uniform.
It’s ministry through presence.
“Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” — 1 Peter 4:10
🌿 Service Is My Posture
No matter the setting, my heart is the same: to ease burdens. To lift spirits. To restore peace.
People often leave our time together lighter—not because I’ve solved everything, but because they felt seen, safe, and supported.
There’s healing in that. There’s power in that.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.” — Matthew 20:26
What surprises many people is learning that I’m not just a coach, instructor, or therapist—I’m also the founder and owner of Modality Life Practice.
Because of my humility, some assume I’m just part of the team. That’s intentional. I lead with a servant’s heart.
I believe leadership is not about being above others, but among them—creating a culture of dignity and care.
Yet, I’ve also learned that this posture of humility can be misunderstood.
Some, seeing my kindness and spiritual openness, think they can cross boundaries or take advantage of my generosity.
They can’t.
Because while I am gentle, I am also discerning.
“Be wise as serpents and innocent as doves.” — Matthew 10:16
That’s why I am very intentional about who I allow into my space. At Modality, behavior, attitude, and conduct matter deeply. Our space is sacred—not just physically, but spiritually and emotionally.
🧠 Strong Mind, Steady Spirit
God placed in me a quiet but resilient strength: I feel deeply, yet I remain steady.
I carry compassion, but not chaos.
I hold space, but I don’t absorb people’s pain as my own.
This isn’t coldness—it’s wisdom. It’s stewardship.
I know how to care without becoming consumed.
“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.” — Proverbs 4:23
I’ve learned to discern what is mine to carry, and what belongs to God. That’s the only way to stay spiritually effective and emotionally well.
✨ The Gift of Holding Space
To guide someone without absorbing their heaviness is a gift.
To reflect light rather than become overwhelmed by someone’s darkness is a calling.
To love all—but keep boundaries—is maturity.
“Bear one another’s burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ.” — Galatians 6:2
(But only as God leads—not beyond what we’re graced to carry.)
💬 People Say…
“You always make me feel better.”
“You helped me breathe again.”
“You make people feel special.”
And I receive that as confirmation of the calling.
But I also protect that gift fiercely. Because when your ability to love is strong, you become a magnet for both healing and testing.
🕊️ In Every Role, I Serve
Whether I’m pouring a cup of tea, guiding someone through their breath, or praying over a broken heart—I serve with reverence.
And I lead with integrity.
Service isn’t what I do—it’s who I am.
But I serve with boundaries. With wisdom. With protection over what God has built.
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.” — Colossians 3:23
Final Reflection
I was built to serve, not for applause—but for eternal impact.
And when I show up aligned with my purpose and guarded by grace,
people rise—and so do I.
